About Steve Franklin
Dr. Steve Franklin is an educator, researcher, author, and business executive. He also is a Centenarian Wannabe on a mission to "capture their Wisdom" (and wit) and share it with the Younger Generation.
While Associate Dean and tenured professor at the Goizueta School of Business of Emory University, he co-authored two textbooks adopted in hundreds of colleges/universities, and over 50 scholarly and practitioner articles on management and entrepreneurship. Three times he was ranked the number one teacher as evaluated by students. His research on small business was reported in major newspapers throughout the country, and he has appeared on CNN and numerous radio and television programs including The Gannett Broadcasting Series Million Dollar Dreams.
He serves on the Board of Regents for Oxford University's Harris Manchester College in the UK and is chairman of the Governing Board for The American University in Dubai.
As chief of new business development for Wells Real Estate Funds, he created the internal corporate Wells University and accelerated growth from almost $200 million to over $11 billion in real assets managed.
As founder of Global Access Learning, he has lectured to business executives in the U.S., UK, Europe, Middle East, and South Africa for companies including IBM, Coca-Cola, Federal Express, AT&T, Chick-fil-A, Kodak, General Electric, the Young President's Organization, the World President's Organization, and numerous other profit and non-profit organizations.
His book 100: The Wisdom of America's Centenarians will be published in 2012. He has developed a one-hour keynote presentation entitled "100: Authentic Wisdom from America's Centenarians" that incorporates segments and sound bytes from dozens of Centenarians he and his team have interviewed all across America.
Recently, he was invited to serve as the Charter Member of the Business Advisory Board for the Supercentenarian Research Foundation.
His personal goal is living to 120 "healthy, wealthy, and wise," and he is passionate about capturing and sharing this priceless Wisdom and advice from America's Most Senior Citizens.
